Okay, now that you got your lashes done, you’re feeling yourself, you are ready to conquer the world, we better make sure to make your lashes last as much as possible with the proper lash aftercare. Because we want to make our money worth, right? Daily Lash Extensions Aftercare Steps (The Non Negotiables) Cleaning your lash extensions should be part of your every day routine. Yes girl, you heard that right. EVERY DAY. Don’t get scared, you got this. The first step is: Use a gentle lash foam shampoo and go in with a soft bristle brush in circular motion. Rinse with cool water. Then pat dry with a soft towel. Brush your lashes once they are dry. This keeps them fluffy and stops tangling and twisting. Avoid sleeping on your face. I know… I’m a side sleeper so sometimes you just simply can’t control it. Just try to sleep on your back if you can. https://youtube.com/shorts/RvQmav6fSgk?si=vkCnCgrMy6roF6MB Brushing our lashes is our new anxiety-regulation, instead of using the stress ball… brush the lashes! What Products to Avoid for Long Lasting Extensions? Avoid anything oil based. Oil is like the narcissistic ex we want to keep away at all costs. You should skip heavy creams around the eyes, do your skincare as regular just avoiding the lash lines. Do not use waterproof mascara. Honestly all types of mascara are no no’s It clings to the lashes and is hard to remove. And to be honest you won’t need it. Avoid harsh makeup removers on the eyes, if you did a full glam, just try to remove the eyeshadow as gently as possible with a q-tip and the rest leave it for the lash foam soap with your brush Troubleshooting: What to Do If Your Lashes Feel Itchy? If your lash line feels itchy, first stay calm. Sometimes the lash line just needs a gentle cleanse. Most irritation comes from buildup. So step one is cleansing Wash your lashes properly. This often fixes the irritation fast. If it’s your first time with lash extensions, this is totally normal.A little irritation the day of application (and even for a couple days after) is common. Your eyes are just experiencing something new and adjusting. If you are experiencing swelling, excessive irritation, or strong itchiness, it could be an allergy to the adhesive. 101 Guide: Everything You Need to Know About Lash Extension Styles from a Lash Expert in Vancouver

The Ultimate Lash Extension Styles Guide Okay, so let’s be for real, choosing lash extension styles can feel like scrolling Netflix. Too many options, too much pressure. As a lash artist in Vancouver, I hear this pretty much daily: “I want lashes but… I don’t even know what style fits me.” Girl, SAME. It’s confusing at first. But don’t worry. I’m breaking it all down. Just real info that actually helps you choose a style you won’t regret. Why Choose Lash Extensions Think of lash extensions as the beauty cheat code. With the right set: You wake up instantly looking like you have mascara on. Your makeup routine becomes: lipgloss + eyebrowgel No smudged mascara, NEVER! (What a gift from the angels, huh?) It’s not a trend, it’s convenience and confidence. Popular Lash Styles in Vancouver and What I Recommend Okay, let’s break down the big four (plus the style that has Vancouver in a new diva era). Classic Lashes The “clean girl aesthetic” of lash extensions. One extension per natural lash. Simple, soft, natural. Hybrid Lashes The “clean girl aesthetic” of lash extensions. One extension per natural lash. Simple, soft, natural. Volume Lash Extensions Fluffy, full or soft glam.Your selfies WILL level up. This is for my girlies who love doing glam. Mega Volume (aka Russian Volume) Drama. Dimension. Intensity. This is for the girlies who wants to walk into a room and have her lashes enter first. Manga (Anime) Lash Extensions – Vancouver’s obsession (and my personal fav) Think airy spikes + tiny fluffy fans in between.Like an anime main character but in real life. They’re feminine, they’re ethereal, they’re your next personality. I can customize for all eye shapes. (Yes, ALL!) What Shape of Lashes Should I Go For Choosing the right shape makes THE difference.Your eye shape guides the mapping.Below are the most common shapes. Natural Eye This shape follows your natural lash line. It gives a simple soft look. (Great for first-timers). Open Eye This style adds length in the center. Making an optical illusion of opening the eyes.People with smaller eyes and/or hooded eyes often love this shape. Cat Eye A cat eye uses longer lashes on the outer corners. It pulls the eyes outward for a lifted look, for that kitty/foxy lookThis is for my girls with almond eyes, girl you’ll eat with this shape. Doll Eye This style has long lashes across the whole lash line. It gives a cute wide eyed effect. This one does not suit every eye shape, but when it hits, it HITS. How Long Do Lash Extensions Last Your lashes typically stay cute for 2–3 weeks before you need a fill. BUT retention depends on: Your natural lash cycle Humidity (Vancouver weather… say less) How well you clean them If you sleep on your face like a gremlin (Don’t do that, please!) With good aftercare, your lashes should stay fluffy, clean, and intact until your fill. How to Care for Lash Extensions I tell every client the same thing: Don’t wet your lashes for the first 24 hours Brush them with a clean spoolie every morning, after washing and when having anxiety. Wash them with oil-free lash foam shampoo (Available in our Online Store). Avoid waterproof eye makeup Try to sleep on your back Come in every 2–3 weeks for fills Good aftercare = better retention + healthier natural lashes. For every time you don’t wash your lashes before sleeping, a fairy dies. Final Thoughts Lash extensions shouldn’t be confusing, they are here to make you the elevated woman you are.Whether you’re a classic girlie, a glam volume lover, there’s a style meant for your eyes. And Vancouver has a million lash trends… but what really matters is finding someone who understands what flatters YOU specifically. Your ideal lash set should make you confident, without trying too hard. 7 Shocking Reasons Why Lash Extensions Fall Out Fast

So you just got your lash extensions done… you’re in full baddie mode… maybe even took a few selfies in the car before driving off (same). And then suddenly, “WHY are my lashes falling out already??” Before we panic, let’s talk about the REAL reasons why lash extensions fall out fast, because some of these are lowkey surprising. And knowing them will literally save your retention and your money. The Role of the Lash Cycle – Is Shedding Normal? Before we blame the universe, let’s talk biology real quick.Your natural lashes grow and shed just like the hair on your head. A natural lash falls out every 60–90 days, so yes, some fallout is totally normal. The cycle literally never stops. Reason 1 Technician Errors The Application Factor Okay… I have to say it gently… sometimes retention problems come from the application. Extensions need the right amount of adhesive, not too much, not too little. And they must be isolated correctly, one natural lash at a time. If lashes stick together, they twist, and break. (Stickies)This causes early fallout AND it’s very uncomfortable. A trained lash tech will always isolate, always control humidity, and always apply safely. If you had a bad experience somewhere else, I can help you fix it. Check my Services Page for correction appointments. Click here Reason 2 Poor Post Appointment Aftercare Mistakes Let’s be real… aftercare is always one of the biggest reasons lashes fall out fast. Skipping cleansing? Early fallout.Using oily products? Early fallout.Rubbing your eyes? Girl… EARLY fallout. https://youtube.com/shorts/Y7PDHXxTOqU?si=wd4Z0vgFQ-xiUHIv Reason 3 Environmental Factors Heat Humidity Oils Your environment has a huge impact on retention. Extreme heat can soften or shock the adhesive. Steam (saunas, long hot showers) can weaken bonds too.Even blow dryers pointed too close to your face can be a problem. High humidity = glue cures too fast. Low humidity = glue cures too slow How to Fix Fast Lash Fallout A Quick Guide Here’s what actually helps: Clean your lashes daily Use oil-free products around your eyes Brush them once or twice a day Don’t rub your eyes (please) Sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase Protect your lashes from heat and steam Pick a trained, experienced tech Good application + good aftercare = stable, long-lasting retention.
